My Personal Journey from Kuwait to Dubai
Kuwait to Dubai flight Experience
Traveling is something I truly enjoy, especially when it's to a place as exciting and luxurious as Dubai. I recently took a flight from Kuwait to Dubai, and the experience was smooth, comfortable, and unforgettable.
I booked my flight a few weeks in advance through an online travel site. There are many daily flights from Kuwait to Dubai operated by airlines like Emirates, FlyDubai, Kuwait Airways, and Jazeera Airways. I chose Emirates for this trip because of its excellent reputation for comfort and service.
At Kuwait International Airport
I reached Kuwait International Airport about 3 hours before my flight. The check-in process was easy and quick. Emirates had dedicated counters, and the staff were polite and helpful. After checking in, I passed through immigration and security smoothly. The airport had all basic facilities—comfortable waiting areas, cafes, shops, and free Wi-Fi.
The Flight Experience
The flight took approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. Even though it was a short journey, Emirates made it feel luxurious. I was offered a delicious snack, soft drinks, and the in-flight entertainment had movies, music, and games. The seats were spacious enough, and the cabin crew were always smiling and ready to help.
Landing at Dubai International Airport felt like entering another world. It’s one of the busiest and most beautiful airports I’ve ever seen. Clean, high-tech, and extremely organized.
Welcome to Dubai – The City of Luxury and Dreams
Dubai is like a magical city in the desert. It has everything – from world-class buildings and shopping malls to beautiful beaches and desert adventures. As soon as I stepped out of the airport, I could feel the energy and luxury of Dubai. The roads were wide, clean, and lined with palm trees. Modern buildings stood tall, and luxury cars were everywhere.
Why Dubai Feels Like a Dream
Dubai is a perfect mix of tradition and modern life. While it has ultra-modern skyscrapers and malls, it also respects its Arabic culture and heritage. It is safe, clean, and very welcoming to tourists. No matter what your travel style is – shopping, food, adventure, or relaxation – Dubai has it all.
Top Luxurious Experiences in Dubai
If you want to feel like royalty, Dubai is the place. Here are some luxurious experiences I had:
1. Burj Al Arab – The 7-Star Hotel
This hotel is shaped like a sail and is known as the most luxurious hotel in the world. I didn’t stay there (it’s very expensive), but I booked a high tea experience at the Skyview Bar on the 27th floor. The views of the ocean and the city were stunning. The food was delicious, and the service was top-notch. If you can, do visit.
2. Dubai Mall and Luxury Shopping
Dubai Mall is not just a mall – it’s a full experience. With over 1,200 stores, you can find every luxury brand here like Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Rolex, and more. I walked through the mall for hours, visiting the Dubai Aquarium and Ice Rink, and watching the Dubai Fountain Show in the evening outside near Burj Khalifa.
3. Burj Khalifa – Tallest Building in the World
I booked tickets to go up to the 124th and 125th floors of Burj Khalifa. The elevator ride was super fast, and the views were absolutely jaw-dropping. From the top, you can see the entire city, the desert, and even the sea. Going up at sunset gave me the best view of Dubai lighting up at night.
4. Desert Safari in Style
I chose a VIP desert safari that included a private pick-up in a luxury 4x4, dune bashing, sunset photography, camel rides, and a premium dinner under the stars. The camp had private seating, traditional Arabic performances, and even henna painting. The peace of the desert under the open sky was unforgettable.
5. Yacht Cruise in Dubai Marina
One of the most relaxing moments was a luxury yacht cruise from Dubai Marina. We sailed past Palm Jumeirah, Atlantis Hotel, and the Ain Dubai wheel. The sea breeze, calm waters, and skyline views made it feel like a dream. I highly recommend booking a private or group yacht tour.
Must-Visit Places in Dubai
Aside from the luxury experiences, Dubai is full of famous spots worth seeing. Here are the highlights from my trip:
1. Dubai Frame
It looks like a giant golden photo frame and offers views of both Old Dubai and New Dubai. The sky glass bridge at the top was a bit scary but exciting.
2. Palm Jumeirah
This man-made island is shaped like a palm tree. It’s home to luxury villas, hotels, and beach clubs. I visited the Atlantis Hotel and its amazing Lost Chambers Aquarium.
3. Dubai Creek and Al Seef
To see the traditional side of Dubai, I went to Al Seef by the Dubai Creek. There are old-style buildings, boats (abras), and souks (markets) selling spices, gold, and fabrics.
4. Global Village
Open during winter, Global Village offers culture, food, and products from more than 70 countries. I tried street food from Turkey, India, and Japan – all in one night!
5. The View at The Palm
This is a new attraction offering 360° views of Palm Jumeirah from the 52nd floor. You can see the full shape of the palm tree from above. Great for photography.
Why Dubai is the Best Place to Visit
After spending 10 days in Dubai, here’s why I truly believe it’s one of the best places to visit:
1. It’s Super Safe and Clean
Dubai is one of the safest cities in the world. I felt safe walking around late at night, even alone. The streets are clean, and everything is very well maintained.
2. Perfect for Solo, Couples, Families, and Friends
Whether you are a solo traveler, a couple on honeymoon, a family with kids, or a group of friends – there’s something for everyone in Dubai.
3. Everything is High Quality
From food and hotels to public transport and entertainment – the quality is excellent. You get great service everywhere.
4. Modern Yet Cultural
Dubai blends the new and the old beautifully. You can see futuristic buildings and still visit places that show the old Emirati life.
5. Easy to Travel
Most people speak English, and signs are in both Arabic and English. The Dubai Metro is fast, cheap, and air-conditioned. Taxis and ride apps like Uber and Careem are also widely available.
6. Year-Round Fun
While summer can be hot, all indoor places have air conditioning. The best time to visit is between October and April, when the weather is pleasant.
Travel Tips from My Experience
Here are a few tips I learned along the way:
-
Book flights and hotels early, especially during festivals or holidays.
-
Carry light clothes, but bring a scarf or shawl for visiting mosques or conservative areas.
-
Use Nol Card for metro and buses – it’s easy and saves money.
-
Don’t eat or drink in public during Ramadan (daytime) as it’s against the rules.
-
Respect local customs – Dubai is open-minded but still follows Islamic culture.
-
Don’t litter or break rules – fines are high, and rules are strict.
Conclusion
My trip from Kuwait to Dubai was more than just a vacation – it was an experience of luxury, culture, fun, and discovery. Dubai welcomed me with open arms and gave me memories I’ll always cherish. From the sparkling lights of Downtown to the calm of the desert and the thrill of sky-high towers, this city never fails to amaze.
If you’re planning your next holiday, Dubai is a destination you must consider. Whether it’s shopping, sightseeing, beach life, or simply enjoying world-class comfort – Dubai has it all.
I can’t wait to go back again, and I know one thing for sure – Dubai is not just a place you visit, it’s a place you feel.
